Georgia Certified Process Server
Georgia law, O.C.G.A 9-11-4(c)(5), allows a Georgia Certified Process Server to serve documents in a county where the Sheriff has authorized us
to serve document in his or her county according to 9-11-4.1.
All Georgia Sheriff's have blocked our ability to serve documents under 9-11-4.1.
We continue to serve documents under 9-11-4 which requires appointments by the individual courts.
*Most local Magistrate courts allow us to serve documents using our Superior Court appointments according to O.C.G.A. 15-10-43(b). There is an exception with regard to Clayton Magistrate Court where the Chief Judge has issued a memo stating that the Sheriff must attempt twice before a Superior Court appointed process server can attempt service.
